By Election Special – Part 1

In all the excitement about people digging holes I forgot that we have an election here today for the sole vacant council seat left after all the legal shenanigans after the last set (see: Village Politics passim).

Strictly speaking this is not necessary, but it is a nice touch. There are but two candidates: Mme. Guillon (Winged Avengers for Safer Sewage & a Brighter Tomorrow) and Mr. Bodin (Anything to Annoy My Former Sister-in-Law Party), so it is a straight fight.

Actually, in a straight fist fight I’d have my five Euros on Mme. Guillon, whom I have the pleasure to know quite well and who is definitely a no-nonsense kind of lady, but I suspect that Mr Bodin might carry it at the hustings.
